N4484 : 16th C. Rhenish Gothic wrought gilded silver monstrance of flamboyant design; the receptacle is hexagonal, walled with plaques of crystal and supported upon a tower in two stages, with fenestral panels and numerous crockets; rising from a flaring base of hexafoil form also pierced with interlaced ornament and enriched with two symbolic medallions, in dark enamel, tracery pierces spire is surrounded with crockets and surmounted by a foliated finial.
